Kinsale Yacht Club has been well established as a significant sailing centre for nearly twenty years. The Kinsale Outdoor Education Centre provides sail training from beginners to instructor level, catering for all age-groups. The Oysterhaven Center, located just outside Kinsale also caterers for all skill levels for those looking for some fun on the water.
Kinsale is steeped in history, dating back to the Battle of Kinsale in 1601 and beyond. There are many remnants of medieval settlements in Kinsale and pre and post 1601remains are dotted all over the town. Join in with one of the many `Walking Tours` or the more entertaining but equally factual Ghost Tour. Kinsale Equestrian Centre consists of a riding school and livery yard. The riding school caters for all levels from beginner – novice – intermediate through to advanced level and for both children and adults. Private and group lessons are offered.
